SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Supply Chain Management (ORIGIN – SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT)

It is now widely recognized that effective supply chain management is a critical factor in achieving sustainable business operations and meeting organizational goals. Origin recognizes the importance of supply chain management—especially in the real estate development business, which is the Company’s core activity. This includes managing the supply chain from upstream to downstream: starting from securing suitable sources of funding, forming joint ventures and financial partnerships, and ensuring the availability of quality vendors and suppliers at appropriate cost levels to support project development and deliver high-quality products and services that meet customer needs.

The Company therefore places strong emphasis on supply chain management operations, along with integrating social and environmental innovations into its business practices. Community and social engagement are key considerations, as the Company aligns its supply chain processes with its core business strategies, as outlined below:

Supplier Management

Origin Property Public Company Limited places strong emphasis on supply chain management—not only to enhance operational efficiency or protect the Company’s reputation, but also to increase transparency throughout its business practices. Suppliers are considered key stakeholders who play a vital role in the Company’s long-term sustainability. Therefore, effective supplier management—ensuring the delivery of quality goods and services in accordance with good governance principles, while remaining accountable to economic, social, and environmental (ESG) responsibilities—is seen as a means of fostering business opportunities and mitigating supply chain risks, thus supporting business continuity.

Since 2021, Origin Property Public Company Limited has established a Supplier Code of Conduct, with the intention that all suppliers apply it as a guideline to align their operations with responsible business practices. Construction Waste Management Project

The Company has collaborated with contractors to develop a project aimed at enhancing environmental standards at construction sites, focusing on waste management during the construction phase. A joint policy has been established involving construction contractors and waste management service providers, with the objective of minimizing waste generation and maximizing resource utilization.

From the project design stage, the Company emphasizes sustainable practices such as selecting appropriate materials, using resources efficiently, and minimizing excess. These efforts continue throughout the construction process through the collaboration of three key parties:

  • Origin Property Public Company Limited
  • Construction contractors
  • Recycoex, a Thai platform for buying and selling recyclable waste that enables proper waste handling and recycling.

This collaboration not only reduces transportation steps and costs associated with waste disposal but also provides income-generating opportunities for construction workers.

Waste at the construction site is categorized into two types:

1. Construction Waste

There are two key waste management methods:

  • Clear separation points are established for different types of waste, and Recycoex is responsible for collection and delivery to certified recycling plants.
  • Repurposing leftover materials into new items for use in the project:
    • Steel scraps are reshaped into fire extinguisher holders
    • Used paint buckets become water containers
    • Cement debris is molded into vehicle barriers, benches, and tables used on-site or donated to nearby schools and communities

2. Daily Living Waste From Workers

Through the “Trash for Eggs” activity, the Company promotes awareness and instills positive waste management habits among construction workers. This initiative encourages proper waste segregation, provides a way to exchange recyclable waste for eggs, and supports additional income for both workers and contractors.

The project has been piloted in collaboration with contractors in two construction sites:

  • Origin SO Phahol 69, in partnership with Uwork 999 Co., Ltd.
  • Origin Play Sri Udom Station, in collaboration with 3Phorn Co., Ltd.
